Templeton, CA. – June 2, 2008 – During National Nurses Week and National Hospital & Healthcare Week, May 6-17, Twin Cities Community Hospital and the Tenet Healthcare Foundation are honoring Holly Cole, RN, Maggie Ford, RN, Liz Johnston, CSW, Carrie Vucasovich, RN, and Sarah Erickson, RN, with a $500 donation to Parents Helping Parents of San Luis Obispo County.
“Choosing this team of caregivers to be honored from among our employees wasn’t an easy task,” said Rick Lyons, Chief Executive Officer. However, this amazing team consistently looks to provide more than medical care. Yes, they provide wonderful care, but every bit as important, they genuinely care about the people we serve."
The Honorees are part of the Twin Cities Community Hospital team, and have served the community and its members in the following ways: Holly Cole, RN-Medical Surgical unit since March 3rd, 2004, Maggie Ford, RN-Admit Nurse-Medical Surgical unit since August 5, 1996, Liz Johnston, Clinical Social Worker-Social Services Department since March 17, 1997, Carrie Vucasovich, RN-House Supervisor–Nursing Administration since July 8, 1996 and Sarah Erickson, RN-Medical Surgical unit since May 1st, 2006. The charity’s mission encompasses all that the honorees feel is important when offering resources to families of children with special needs.
As part of the celebration of National Nurses Week and National Hospital and Healthcare Week, the Tenet Healthcare Foundation will contribute more than $30,000 on behalf of outstanding employees who are recognized at Tenet hospitals across the country.
This week is a time to say “thank you” to all of the health care professionals who have dedicated their lives to providing high quality patient care. These are people who work tirelessly every day of the year to making a difference in the lives of those around them. They give hope and comfort to our patients and their families.
