Templeton, CA. - June 2, 2008 – On the heels of winning the prestigious Circle of Excellence award, Twin Cities Community Hospital and its employees have chosen to make two charitable contributions to local charities. The beneficiaries are the North County Women’s Shelter and Resource Center, and the Food Bank Coalition of North County. The organizations will each receive a check for $5,000 dollars, presented by Rick Lyons, Chief Executive Officer and members from both charities’ Board of Directors, along with Twin Cities Governing Board members will be in attendance. The event will take place on June 10th at 10:00.
The Circle of Excellence award was conferred upon Twin Cities Community Hospital on April 23rd and honors those Tenet hospitals that have performed at the highest levels in the past year in the areas of quality, service and operation performance. Key factors involved in the process include patient, physician and employee satisfaction scores, clinical quality scores and financial performance.
“We are extremely honored to have received the Circle of Excellence Award as a tribute to our hospital’s success. While the monetary award could have been used in countless ways, we are deeply proud of our employees for their decision to donate it to two deserving charities. This sort of generosity exemplifies the true spirit of not only our employees but also our overall organization,” said Chief Operating Officer Joe Badalian.
