Twin Cities Community Hospital Awarded for Effort to Eliminate Healthcare-Associated Infections
In 2012, Twin Cities Community Hospital’s Critical Care Unit was one of just 11 hospitals and healthcare facilities nationwide to be recognized in Orlando during the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses’ (AACN) National Teaching Institute & Critical Care Exposition. Award recipients were selected for demonstrating success in reducing and eliminating central line-associated bloodstream infections (CLABSIs) and ventilator-associated pneumonia (VAP) for 25 months or longer and showing national leadership in sharing their evidence-based initiatives to help improve clinical practice.
The Critical Care Unit has received the Beacon Award for meeting standards of excellence.
